Macca to host Noosa Tri Clinic

Chris McCormack and IPRO Clinics offer a complete "I'm here to win" Noosa Tri Training Clinic at the Noosa Triathlon Multisport Festival.
Three-time triathlon world champion and Noosa Triathlon winner, Chris McCormack, will be hosting the inaugural “ I’M HERE TO WIN” Noosa Tri Training Clinic, in conjunction with Australian Professional Cyclist Ben Kersten and his new company, IPRO CLINICS.
IPRO CLINICS offers high-end, cutting edge cycling and triathlon clinics, providing the chance to train with and learn from some of the best in Australian sport, as well as the most up-to-date sports science testing and analysis for cyclists of all levels.
“iPro is a boutique training company that offers cyclists and triathletes the opportunity to improve their performance, and have fun while doing it”, Kersten said.
“I love working with riders to help them get the most out of themselves and will join with other top professional swimmers, runners and triathletes to help people be the best they can be in every triathlon discipline. No matter what their level of experience, iPro can help them take their riding to new levels.
“I am enormously looking forward to teaming up with McCormack for the “I’M HERE TO WIN” Noosa Tri Clinic, it’s going to be a fantastic few days and invaluable for anyone looking to improve their performance generally and reach new heights in this year’s Noosa Tri”, added Kersten.
The three-day camp will be based out of the Specialized Headquarters, near the Noosa Tri Transition area, from Wednesday 26 – Friday 28 October. The camp is offering just 12 exclusive places to ensure this remains a highly unique, productive and personalized experience for attendees.
“As a full time professional athlete for the past two decades I’ve been fortunate enough to train with some of the greats in triathlon and across other sports,” McCormack said.
“I have studied and analysed all facets of training methods and mental toughness in racing for many years to hone my skills, which has allowed me to maximise my own performance and win some of the world’s biggest races. I would like to be able to share what I know to help athletes at any level and pass on some of the things I’ve learned throughout my career to spare participants some tough lessons.
”This camp will be a unique and personalised experience, providing small group sessions for specialist training and exposing athletes to a scientific component not commonly available, by way of sub-maximal bike and run tests utilising the event set up and facilities during the Noosa Triathlon event. It will be an action-packed and fun few days and the aim is to walk away with some knowledge and practical tools so that you can continue to improve and enjoy the triathlon lifestyle. I’m looking forward to being heavily involved and being part of the journey for those wanting to get the most out of themselves,” added McCormack.
One free spot will be offered to a developing junior athlete (non sponsored or financially assisted by government bodies) who will get an experience of a lifetime to assist in their further progression in the sport. They will simply have to tell us in 50 words what it would mean to them to win.
