 As races go, few take in more sights of a big city than the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon 2012.

Whether you choose the long, short or sprint distance course, athletes get to experience some amazing views of the expanding emirate, and the swim in the lagoon in front of the six-star Emirates Palace hotel seriously leaves you breathless before you start the race. It really is a stunning, yet challenging event.
